Who is CODI Manufacturing?

CODI Manufacturing designs and builds automated packaging and material handling equipment for beverage producers, can makers, and can decorators. Founded in 1992, CODI is a family-operated, second-generation manufacturer based in Littleton, Colorado, with equipment installed across North America and around the world. CODI's power distribution equipment is built by a separate division, CODI Power Controls.


Where is CODI equipment built?

All CODI equipment is designed and built in our 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Littleton, Colorado. In-house capabilities include stainless fabrication, electrical panel assembly, automation programming, controls integration, and final system testing.

What depalletizers does CODI offer?

CODI builds four depalletizer models sized to production volume: the Compact 100, Standard 250, Enhanced 500, and High-Speed 1000. CODI also builds the Re-Palletizer and the Flex Stack gantry palletizer for end-of-line pallet handling. Visit the Depalletizing page to compare models.


Does CODI build tunnel pasteurizers?

Yes. CODI builds tunnel pasteurizers for shelf-stable packaged beverages, along with container warming and cooling tunnels. Warming tunnels raise cold-filled containers above the dew point so condensation does not damage labels or cardboard packaging. What differentiates CODI?

Unlike many integrators or resellers, CODI builds what it sells. Engineering, fabrication, electrical assembly, controls programming, and testing all happen in-house, under one roof. That lets us control quality, shorten lead times, and support customers for the life of the equipment, not just through installation.


Does CODI build its own control panels?

Yes. CODI writes the automation logic and builds the control panels for its equipment in-house. Every panel shipped to the United States and Canada is built to UL 508A, and stainless-steel enclosures are available for washdown and corrosive environments.


What is CODI Power Controls?

CODI Power Controls is CODI's power distribution division. It builds custom switchboards, panelboards, and generator docking stations, and provides contract manufacturing for other OEMs, in the same Littleton facility. Visit CODI Power Controls for power distribution equipment.


Are your products standard or custom?

Most CODI equipment is configured to the customer's requirements. We start by understanding the application and the problem that needs to be solved, including:

Can CODI equipment integrate with existing equipment?

Yes. CODI machines can typically integrate with existing line equipment with minimal modification. Integration requirements are reviewed during the initial project consultation.


Can CODI design a complete beverage production line?

What patents does CODI hold?

CODI holds multiple U.S. patents covering filling, seaming, cleaning, and conveying systems. These patented technologies were developed to improve line performance, reliability, and product quality.

CODI's patented filling and seaming innovations include:

  • Counterpressure filling control using modulated pinch valves, allowing infinitely adjustable fill and snift setpoints through the HMI to accommodate varying carbonation levels, temperatures, and product types.
  • Continuous-motion, position-controlled seaming at up to 65 cans per minute, providing consistent seam quality while reducing dissolved oxygen through synchronized LN₂ dosing.

CODI's Loop Rinser patent uses a vacuum conveyor to invert and rinse cans with ionized air, eliminating traditional twist rinsers and significantly reducing changeover time for multi-size production lines.

CODI's conveyor retrofit patents replace conventional roller conveyors with modular plastic belt systems, providing:

  • Lower operating noise
  • Reduced wear and container damage
  • Improved sanitation
  • Simplified maintenance

These upgrades extend conveyor service life while improving line reliability.


How does a project typically start?

Projects begin with a consultation to review your requirements, budget, constraints, urgency, and integration challenges. From there, we develop concept layouts, scopes of work, and formal project proposals.


What are your lead times?

Because most CODI equipment is configured or customized for each project, lead times vary by equipment type and project complexity. Fabrication, electrical panel building, and system integration are performed in-house, which reduces reliance on outsourced manufacturing. Confirmed schedules are provided during quoting, and customers receive updates throughout the manufacturing process.


Do you perform Factory Acceptance Testing?

Yes. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is available and is a common project requirement. Testing is performed at our facility in Littleton, Colorado, before the equipment ships.


Does CODI provide installation services?

Yes. CODI provides installation through our in-house service team and coordinates field installation with qualified service partners who work to our established standards.


What service support is available after installation?

CODI provides:

  • Preventive maintenance planning

Do you stock spare parts?

Yes. We stock many common replacement components and can expedite fabrication of custom parts. Some machine components are made by outside suppliers and may not always be in stock, but we expedite them when needed.


Do you sell directly or through dealers?

Both. CODI sells directly and works with a select group of trusted resellers and service partners in specific regions. We also collaborate with integrators and other value-added partners throughout the supply chain. Reseller information is available on request.


Do you export equipment outside North America?

Yes. CODI has equipment installed around the world and can build equipment to applicable CE requirements for projects in the European Union, including our CE canning machine.
