CCL-45ROPP
ROPP COUNTER PRESSURE FILLER & CAPPER
Counterpressure bottle filler with ROPP capper | isobaric filling machine | craft beverage bottle packaging line
The CODI CCL-45ROPP is a counterpressure bottle filler and ROPP capper that handles carbonation up to 4.0 volumes and incoming liquid temperatures up to 52°F. It uses the same counterpressure technology as the CCL-45 can filler, adapted for bottles with ROPP closures. Each fill head seals the bottle, purges with CO2, then fills under pressure. Compatible with BVP, MCA, GPI 1680, GPI 1683, 28mm, and 31.5mm ROPP formats. 304 stainless steel throughout with true CIP capability. Cam-driven capping syncs with the feed screw for consistent closure timing.

PRODUCT FEATURES
Clean-in-Place (CIP)
Fully CIP-capable with closed-loop recirculation, high-temperature rated components, and PLC-controlled cycles for thorough, repeatable sanitation between runs.
Counterpressure Filling
Isobaric filling seals and purges each can with CO₂ before filling under pressure, protecting carbonation and enabling consistent fills across a wider range of temperatures and carbonation levels up to 4.0vols.
Multi-Format ROPP Compatibility
Supports BVP, MCA, GPI 1680, GPI 1683, 28mm ROPP, and 31.5mm ROPP closures. Change parts allow quick conversion between formats.
Centralized HMI Control
A single control point manages purge cycles, tank pressure, fill rate, settle time, and snift cycles, with audible and visual alerts if anything falls out of spec.

FAQ
What is a ROPP?
ROPP stands for roll-on pilfer-proof. It is an increasingly popular format where an unthreaded aluminum cap shell is placed over the container neck, and spinning threading wheels form the threads and tamper-evident band directly around the bottle finish.
What ROPP containers does the CCL-45ROPP handle?
It is purpose-built for aluminum bottles and glass bottles utilizing standard ROPP neck finishes, bringing high-speed automated capping to wine, ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, carbonated water, and specialty beverages.
How does it handle high carbonation levels?
Like the standard CCL-45, it utilizes true counter pressure fill logic. By pressurizing the bottle to match tank pressure prior to filling, it holds carbonation up to 4.0+ volumes CO2 in solution without foaming out during the transition to the ROPP capping head.
Can the CCL-45ROPP also fill cans?
The CCL-45ROPP is dedicated to bottle filling and ROPP capping. For operators looking to run traditional seamed aluminum cans, the standard CCL-45 or enclosed CCL-45CE provides industry-leading seamer performance.
