SERVICES

Engineering & Integration Services

CODI is known for our automation equipment. But engineering doesn't stop there. We assess your facility, design the layout in CAD, build the controls and panels that run it, and stay on the project through commissioning and your first production run. CODI equipment is engineered to work alongside the depalletizers, labelers, date coders, and cartoners already on your floor, so the line runs as one system. Flawlessly.

Line Integration

CODI equipment is engineered to run as part of your line, not in isolation. We coordinate the handoffs between CODI machines and third-party equipment already in your plant, including depalletizers, labelers, date coders, and cartoners, so containers move through the line without starving or backing up the machines around them..

Dual Line CAD Layout

Spatial Planning & CAD Layouts

We start with your building, not a catalog drawing. CODI engineers a layout to your actual footprint, working around columns, drains, ceiling height, and access routes to build a line that fits the room and leaves space to operate and clean it. Site assessment and layout engineering are available as a paid service before you commit to equipment.

508a Panelboard

Controls & UL 508a Panels

CODI writes the automation logic for CODI equipment and builds the control panels in house. Every panel shipped to the United States and Canada is built to UL 508A. The controls define how CODI machines coordinate with the rest of the line, setting speeds and handoffs so one stop does not idle everything upstream.

Spare Parts for CODI Machines

Change Parts & Format Engineering

New container, new line behavior. CODI engineers the change parts and format changes needed to run a different can or bottle size on equipment you already own, including the guides, timing, and settings that keep the line running at speed after the switch.

Factory Compliance Testing

FAT Commissioning

Customers who require a Factory Acceptance Test are welcome at our Littleton facility to run the equipment before it ships. Site Acceptance Testing, startup, and fine tuning happen at your plant, with a CODI technician on site through the first production run.

FAQ

Can CODI design the full line layout for my facility?

Yes. CODI engineers a line layout to your specific building footprint, accounting for columns, drains, ceiling height, access routes, and operator clearance. The deliverable is a CAD layout and a set of General Arrangement Drawings. Site assessment and layout engineering are offered as a paid service, so the design work can happen before you commit to a full equipment package.

Can CODI integrate equipment from other manufacturers?

Yes. CODI equipment is engineered to run alongside third-party machinery already in your plant, including depalletizers, labelers, date coders, and cartoners. CODI coordinates the handoffs between our equipment and yours so the line functions as one system. CODI writes automation logic for CODI equipment; we do not take on standalone controls programming for other manufacturers' machines.

Does CODI build its own control panels?

Yes. Control panels are designed and assembled in house at our Littleton, Colorado facility. Every panel shipped to the United States and Canada is built to UL 508A. We think it is necessary to build our control panels so that we control quality, maintain a reasonable cost, and provide the flexibility and rapid development work that the industry expects from us.

What is a General Arrangement Drawing?

A General Arrangement Drawing shows the complete line laid out in your facility, dimensioned to your actual floor space. CODI's GA package includes electrical scope documentation and facility requirements for air and water, so your electrical and mechanical contractors have what they need to bid and prepare the site before equipment arrives.

Does CODI run Factory Acceptance Testing?

Yes, when a project calls for it. Customers who require a Factory Acceptance Test are welcome at our Littleton facility to run the equipment before it ships. Site Acceptance Testing takes place at your plant during installation and startup.

What is your after sale support look like?

  • Spare parts. CODI stocks common wear parts and ships from Littleton, with a recommended spares list delivered at project handoff so your team can stock ahead of a failure.

  • Changeover parts. Change parts and format engineering to run a new can or bottle size on equipment already in the field.

  • Upgrades and retrofits. Improvements to CODI equipment already installed, including support for used CODI machines brought back to factory specification.

  • Maintenance visits. Scheduled service from a CODI technician to extend equipment life and catch wear before it becomes downtime.
