Labeler Applicator

LABEL APPLICATOR

Automatic wrap-around label applicator | inline can and bottle labeler | pressure-sensitive label machine for beverage packaging

The CODI Labeler is a servo-driven, pressure-sensitive wrap-around label applicator that runs cans or bottles at 25 to 100 CPM, inline or as a standalone unit. Hand-applying labels doesn't scale, and cheap label applicators create more rework than   they save. This is where the CODI Labeler excels. Its operation is simple: a feed screw precisely indexes each container so placement is consistent. The touchscreen HMI stores different job settings, and missing label detection catches problems early. Available in mobile or stationary configurations.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Feed Screw Indexing for Consistent Placement

Each container is precisely indexed into the label station by a feed screw before the label is applied. No guessing, no drift. Servo motor control maintains tight tolerances across the full speed range.

Job Memory

The HMI stores up to 30 job settings. Pull up a saved preset and you're running. No re-entering parameters from scratch every time you switch SKUs.

Missing Label Detection

The system detects missing labels and can trigger an automatic line shutdown to prevent unlabeled product from advancing. Catch the problem at the source, not at the end of the line.

Wet or Dry Container Handling

Designed to apply labels reliably on both wet and dry containers. Plastic-backed labels with dairy-grade adhesive are recommended for durability and consistent bond across varying surface conditions.

FAQ

Why does the Label Applicator use a feed screw instead of pads or wheels?

A feed screw indexes each can or bottle with absolute mechanical spacing and rotational control as it passes the label head. That precision prevents skewing, bubbling, and misalignments, ensuring repeatable placement at high speeds.

What speed does the Label Applicator support?

It is designed to synchronize with high-speed packaging lines, applying pressure-sensitive wrap, front/back, or spot labels cleanly at speeds exceeding standard filling operations.

Does the container need to be completely dry before labeling?

Yes. Pressure-sensitive adhesive will flag, slip, or fail if applied over standing water or heavy condensation. We recommend placing a Sure Dry Blower or Rinse and Dry Box immediately upstream of the labeler.

Can it apply date codes?

Yes. The system easily integrates optional continuous inkjet (CIJ), thermal transfer, or laser coding heads to print lot numbers and date codes simultaneously with label application.
