Position Summary

Are you looking to start a career in manufacturing but aren't sure where to begin? CODI Manufacturing is looking for motivated Entry-Level Shop Associate to join our team. No prior shop experience is required—we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

This is a broad, foundational position designed to give you exposure to all areas of our manufacturing operation. You will have the opportunity to work across various departments, including fabrication, machining, assembly, and shipping/receiving. This role is a perfect "foot in the door" to help you discover which specialized trade—such as welding, CNC machining, or mechanical assembly—you are most passionate about.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support our experienced team while learning the ropes of a custom manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with the assembly of parts and custom industrial equipment.
Learning to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and shop travelers.
Supporting various departments (machining, welding, waterjet/laser cutting) as a shop helper.
Operating basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
Inspecting parts for quality to ensure they meet project standards.
Operating forklifts and material-handling equipment safely (training provided).
Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas to ensure an efficient shop flow.
Supporting shipping and receiving tasks to keep projects moving on schedule.

Required Qualifications

No experience needed; we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a "hands-on" mindset.
A desire to learn multiple skills and figure out your long-term career path in manufacturing.
Reliable attendance and a commitment to safe work habits.
Attention to detail and pride in doing quality work.
Willingness to be flexible and work across different tasks as needed.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.

Preferred Qualifications

General familiarity with hand tools or power tools.
A background in labor, construction, or a similar physically active field.
Interest in pursuing a career in welding, machining, or industrial assembly.
