Position Summary
CODI Manufacturing is looking for a detail-oriented Electrical Assembly Technician to join our controls and assembly team. This role is critical in bringing custom automation equipment to life through precise electrical integration. You will be responsible for building industrial control panels and executing final wiring and termination on complex machinery.
This position is suited to someone who excels at technical work, enjoys following complex schematics, and maintains clean, organized, and high-quality electrical workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire industrial control panels in accordance with UL 508A standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate component placement and point-to-point wiring.
- Perform electrical terminations on automation machines, including sensors, motors, and I/O modules.
- Route and groom wire harnesses and cables to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Use electrical tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, and multimeters, to complete and test assemblies.
- Collaborate with controls engineers and mechanical assemblers to resolve integration issues and ensure proper machine functionality.
- Inspect electrical work for quality and compliance before equipment moves to testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Responsibilities
- Proven experience in electrical assembly, industrial wiring, or a related technical field.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with PLC components and industrial automation sensors.
- Specific experience wiring UL 508A panels or similar industrial control systems.
- Experience in custom, low-volume, or prototype manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and NEC codes.
- Forklift or material-handling experience.
