Position Summary
Are you looking to start a career in manufacturing but are not sure where to begin? CODI Manufacturing is looking for motivated Entry-Level Shop Associates to join our team. No prior shop experience is required. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
This is a broad, foundational position designed to give you exposure to all areas of our manufacturing operation. You will have the opportunity to work across various departments, including fabrication, machining, assembly, and shipping and receiving. This role is a practical entry point for discovering which specialized trade, such as welding, CNC machining, or mechanical assembly, best fits your interests and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support our experienced team while learning the operations of a custom manufacturing environment.
- Assist with the assembly of parts and custom industrial equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and shop travelers.
- Support machining, welding, waterjet, and laser-cutting departments as a shop helper.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Inspect parts for quality to ensure they meet project standards.
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely. Training is provided.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas to support efficient shop flow.
- Support shipping and receiving tasks to keep projects moving on schedule.
